Happy International Women's Day
"A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.
So let's all choose to challenge."
- quote from the official international women's day website
March 8 is the official day of celebrating women across the world. We acknowledge this day to join in the movement of bettering women and women's rights. Thankfully this year multifaceted™ can make a difference this holiday with our queen candle. Queen was created with many ties back to womanhood.
Let's start with the flower top, our hand painted gold rose. The rose is a symbol of grace, humility and harmony. These are only a few adjectives to describe my thoughts of women. I could go on for days talking about women and the amazing qualities that we add to the world!
I added gold and copper accents to the rose to further enhance the look of this special edition candle. The powder is hand painted with mica powder made from natural stone minerals. This powder is very similar to the same ingredients used in highlighting makeups for your face (just to let you know how safe it is).
Now let's talk about the scent. I decided to think about a feminine scent that most women would enjoy other than a floral or sweet scent. We try to make unique and different scents to further differentiate from other candle makers. After doing a ton of research, I decided to go with the a scent geared more towards skincare. I landed on the blend of shea butter, coconut oil and a hint of vanilla. This blend is literally amazing. It has a subtle sweetness but is not overpowering.
Because this is a multifaceted™ product, we had to acknowledge the environment. The vessel of this candle is made with recycled glass and a hand painted bamboo lid. We left the vessel free of labels and decided to move the brand and candle label to the top of the lid. This was a revision from the original packaging on our queen candle. It keeps the candle simple and beautiful with an inspirational crown on the lid label.
Grab yours today! Or gift one to your fellow queen. Let's continue to celebrate the amazing women of the world all year long.
Remember life is short. Burn the candles.
